We understand ordering online may be difficult and getting the right size rings online is even more difficult. We want to make
this process as simple as possible. There are a few ways to have your finger sized:
-
You can request one of our ring sizing kits. They are plastic ring sizers we send out, by regular U.S.
mail, with instructions to measure your finger.
-
You can stop in at Princess Jewelry and we would be happy to measure your finger size.
-
If you live out of state, you can go to a local jeweler and have your finger sized.
Tip: We recommend you have them place the sizer on a mandrel.
A mandrel is a tool to measure the ring size accurately. Have them show you the size on the mandrel.
-
For international sizes, please view our international ring sizing chart.
This will help you determine the right size based on your country's sizing method.
Tips to determine right size:
Many people believe that the perfect ring size is based on the fit at the end of the finger. In some cases, this might be true. However,
the best judgment is based on your knuckle. If the ring goes over the knuckle comfortably and tugs slightly on the knuckle when removing
the ring, then it's a great fit.
Keep in mind our hands fluctuate daily. On hot and humid days, our hands swell. On cold and dry days, our hands shrink. Also, your hand
may fluctuate based on the activities you do during the day and the food or drinks you have. This is important to know when measuring your finger.
Finally, wider rings will always fit tighter than thinner rings. Therefore, when you use a ring sizing kit or ring sizer, take into account
the width of the ring. If it is a thin ring sizer and you are purchasing a much wider band, then we would recommend going either a quarter
or half size larger then the ring size.
